Every other Sunday over at Citrus Twist Kits we take turns hosting the sketch challenge. I don't create digital sketches but my good friend Keri Babbit does so I asked her to create one for me. She created one fun sketch. If you want to play along you can create a layout using the sketch and linking it to the blog post HERE and there is a prize for one lucky person.
Her is her sketch:

Inspired By.....
Polaroid/Instagram Frames! Over at Paper Crafter's Corner we are creating layouts that are inspired by the popular items from CHA, but with using our stash! So I want to share my "inspired by" layout with you!
Here is the layout I created using the polaroid frames I made:
Here is how I made it:
I found these frames to be super cute and so fun to play with. I love how they make a photo pop! First I cut a piece of cardstock 8 1/2 x 3 1/4.
Then fold it in half. **Note you do not have to make them fold in half you could just make a piece to put over your picture**
I then opened the paper back up and cut a 3×3 square. I came down from the fold 1/4 if an inch so you have a 1/4 inch around 3 sides and a bigger space at the bottom (like a poloaroid).
Here is what it looks like after the cut out.
And here is what it looks like with a picture and folded.
And here is a close up:
You can check out the other "Inspired By" layouts Here.

Mixed Media
Today want wanted to share to mixed media canvas I made. They were shared over on the Paper Crafter's Corner blog for the Creating Keepsakes Blog Hop. Creating Keepsakes now has a mixed media issue and you can win one by going HERE.
Pinwheel Canvas created using The Paper Bakery Mixed Media Kit:
Background
First, I adhered some torn-out book pages to the blank canvas. Then I ‘painted’ over the pages with Gesso to make the background base. To add some depth & additional dimension, I then used a Studio Calico stencil and some Jenni Bowlin acrylic paint to add circles to the background.
Foreground
I made the pinwheels and the ‘sticks’ (which of course are just paper strips) out of Echo Park “Sweet Day” papers and adhered them with mod podge and let dry. I used the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook stamps and just stamped around the canvas. I also used a Jenni Bowlin rub-on that I cut up. And lastly I took an American Crafts Slick Writer marker and outlined each element.
Heart Canvas:
First I Mod Podged some favorite papers directly down to the canvas. Then I took some crape paper streamers from a birthday party and scrunched them around the outside, and mod podged them down as well. Then, I used some Gesso to “paint” over the papers and crape paper. To add more color around the edges, I added some Jenni Bowlin acrylic paint around the outside, using the built-in dauber.
To add EVEN more depth to the background, I added dark green acrylic paint using a Jenni Bowlin lettering stencil, and I added the bright yellow paint using a hexagon background stamp.
Foreground
Then I got started on the hearts! I cut-out the hearts from some Lily Bee papers and adhered them to my thoroughly inked & stamped canvas. I added some My Mind’s Eye chipboard pieces here & there. I then painted around each of the elements, using acrylic paint again. And lastly I took my American Crafts Slick Writer pen (my favorite pen for doodling) and doodled around each item.

Fast Friends
Happy Tuesday! I'm here to share a another layout using the July Add-on from The Paper Bakery. This picture is a favorite of mine. When we went to Georgia I went to meet up with a friend that my kids had not actually met yet. We were spending the week there so I was praying they would all get along. Well my oldest daughter and her middle daughter were only a year apart and they hit it off immediately! By the end of the week they acted like sisters. I was so thankful!
I had fun stitching all over the layers.
And love the cute banner sticker from EP.
And if you want I have a cute tutorial over at The Paper Bakery Blog on the pink ribbon. HERE

AngelaJuly 10, 2012 8:42 PM
Love the layers on your page! Fantastic!
First I took the potato sack and folded it in half:
Next I cut the papers for inside:
I then made each page as you would a mini layout.
Cover of bag:
Here is the record I decorated:
And here is where I keep it. It's a pocket the sack created when I folded.
And lastly I took and machine stitched the pages to the bag.

Georgia Peach Pie
Happy Friday! Today I wanted to share a layout I worked on using the scraps I have left from the June Citrus Twist Kit. I have been working on lots of layouts lately but I can't share any yet since there for DT's. So check back later this month for lots of new layouts, a fun announcement, and a giveaway real soon.
For now here is my layout. The recipe is from Martha Stewart.
I tucked the recipe in the cute envelope. And used some negative cut outs.
I added some embellishments from my stash flairs, clip, and buttons. And I used some Elle's Studio tags.
Here is the journaling.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Check back Monday for my announcement!
